: Besides the obvious... its a watch, an Omega
: and a Seamaster, exactly what are you
: wanting to know?

: Many pieces like that don't have any other
: specific name. Based on the boxy design and
: day-of-week indicator, I would place that in
: the mid 1970s to early 1980s.

: It also looks pretty heavily used. So I
: wouldn't expect it to have much value left
: except the sentimental value it has to you.

: Original replacement metal bracelets will be
: expensive -- if you can even fine one at
: all. Possibly it can take a normal strap,
: but I can't see from those photos.

Ah! I thought it was a Pizza! Thanks for clearing that up ;)

Heavily used - absolutley - The sentimental value is only matched in greatness by the time it spent on his wrist! Never took it off at all as far I remember - really.

Interesting re. the name/identifier - I thought they all had 'names' - can you suggest where I might find an original strap at all? Also, were I to send it back to Omega, would they be able to restore it to it's original glory do you think? Most of the marks are not 'gouges', more scratches - but I wouldn;t have the first idea about how to remove them!

Thanks for your comments so far - much appreciated :)
