The difference between those two is one plastic part in the 1861 being replaced by the (original) metal part in the 1863 and the 1863 being more attractively finished for use with the clear display back. I forget exactly which is the plastic part but it was used in the 1861 because it is self-lubricating. Omega did not want a plastic part visible through the clear display back so they went back to the metal part.
