Personally, I think the Bond SMP is the best watch out there for the money. It is now the only Omega that will feature the distinct Bond bracelet, which is so much more refined and much higher quality than the Speedy style bracelet on the 2254.50. It also has the more elegant skeleton hands, unlike the sword hands on the 2254.50. The numbers on the bezel are also of a more appropriate size (I feel the numbers on the 2254.50 are just entirely too big).
I don't know about buying overseas, but if you buy your watch over the net you do not get the Omega factory warranty. Just something to keep in mind.
