Yes, I do believe the fact that the Seamaster's bezel angles downward from the sapphire crystal helps eliminate scratches. If you bump up against the crystal, no problem, because the crystal will not scratch, and unless you angle your bump at that downward angle, the bezel will not scratch. However, if the bezel on your TAG is on the same plane as the crystal, you might bump the crystal and slide over to the bezel as you move, thus causing a scratch there.
