It is true that Omega will not honor the factory warranty if the watch is not purchased from an authorized dealer, but it is not correct that Omega will not service the watch if you pay for it. I had mine serviced by Omega and they never even asked where it came from. They even sent me a Omega cleaning cloth and thanked me for owning an Omega. They could careless where it comes from if your paying.
