Re: MOONWATCH BOOK WARNING
In Response To: Re: MOONWATCH BOOK WARNING ()

: No, you are massively overthinking this. He is
: simply buying them from Omega for £15 and
: reselling them for £50-70.

: For what? Doesn't look like he is doing
: anything illegal. He's simply making a
: profit off other people's lack of knowledge
: that the book is available cheaper
: elsewhere. Where are there laws that prevent
: someone from selling an item for more than
: what someone else does? That's simple
: business. Sure, it is raw profiteering, but
: that itself is not illegal.

: Face it, you guys simply made a poor choice and
: paid way too much because you didn't do your
: homework.

: I don't agree with the morality of this guy
: blatantly profiteering of buying
: readily-available books and reselling them
: as 'rare.' But I also cannot agree that you
: overpaying was the seller's responsibility
: -- it was entirely your choice to take the
: risk of not validating the value or checking
: availability and price from other sources
: before paying the price you did.

Of course you are absolutely right. My intention was simply to bring this to the attention of the watch world and expose this profiteering.
