I have three. The Seamaster Pro America's Cup Limited Edition, Seamaster GMT, and the Seamaster Aqua Terra Co-Axial. All are based on the same movement, Caliber 1120. I think they are pretty much to bullet proof (well, bullet resistant).
While I like my Speedmaster Pro, I like my Seamasters better. Date, Automatic, and Certified Chronometers, along with 5 to 10 times the water resistance. I think they (in general) will be more dependable and less likely to malfuntion simply because they don't have a Chronograph complication.
Both are solid watches.
