I just received a response from Omega in Switzerland that I thought might be of interest to others. I've have been wondering about a few things before purchasing a mid size Seamaster Pro.
The first item was if they had plans to come out with a midsize titanium model. She said they have no plans whatsoever at this time. Omega US's comment on this was no comment (actual she said it is up to the marketing department).
I also wanted to know if they are going to have the magnified date window on other models besides the Omegamatics. She said again that there were no plans to do this. At one point I liked this look but not anymore. Was glad to hear this.
The last question was in regards to where they manufacture the current braclets. To this, the answer was the are considered a swiss made watch because the are assembled in Switzerland. Nothing further.
I would like to think they are made totally in Switzerland but I kind of doubt it with this answer. When it comes right down to it, it shouldn't matter. I still love the midsize Seamasters and think it is the best watch for me. Just can't wait to get mine!
