I just got my new SMP this afternoon. After struggling to decipher the serial number etched on the 7:00 lug, I found out that the number on the watch did not match those on the certificates. Unfortunately, the store's already closed for the day. I'll have to wait till tomorrow to find out what's up.
The retailer said the watch came from the Omega distributor but I have doubts. I suspect it came from another store branch. The watch is brand new with the 3 cert cards. The way another retailer described the packaging that comes from Omega was a little different from how I got mine. The little tag with the cord was missing.
Has anyone experienced this? I know I will call the local Omega office here on Monday. I'd like to keep the watch since I'm happy with its condition. I'd rather get a new set of cards than wait for a replacement. It looks at home on my wrist.
