Collected my new Speedmaster Pro yesterday and whilst delighted, am at that 'worrying if everything's OK' stage.
I notice that the motion of the large chrono second hand appears slightly erratic. When running, it seems to take a number of small 1/5 second steps followed by a larger jump of perhaps half a second or more. This happens frequently, seemingly at random, throughout its rotation.
Is this a fault, normal operation of a mechanical chrono, or some trick of the brain - persistence of vision and all that?
I haven't much experience of mechanical watches and don't have anything similar to compare it to.
Please advise
Chris
