Quartz battery life sticker

Just recieved my new 38 MM Aqua Terra quartz yesterday. When I first opened the box, WOW, this thing is so BIG. But now, already, it doesn't look too big at all, altho now my other watches look 'small'.

Anyhow, on the back there is a clear sticker with black numbers "replace battery 06/07". Not a big deal, but never heard this mentioned before. Is this new? Also, what's with the hologram plastic card?

So far, the only thing I don't like is the fact it doesn't have a "quick set date" feature.
I guess you have to crank the hour around 24 hrs. to change? For this much $$$ I assumed it would adjust like at least a Seiko.

If anyone responds, thanks in advance.

James
