Re: Grey Market Question
In Response To: Grey Market Question ()

: I have wanted an Omega Seamaster Pro Auto
: 2531.80.00 for 5 years now. I am a college
: student so I don't have a whole lot of
: money, but I am at a situation where I have
: enough to buy one off the net (Grey Market)

: The two website I am considering is
: Atlantictime.com and americasjewlery.com.
: Both claim to have the real thing and they
: come with the same box, paperwork, intact
: serial numbers and everything like that. The
: only difference that they are telling me is
: that instead of the warranty going through
: Omega, they would handle the three year
: warranty because of the voided Omega one.

: The only other thing that concerns me is the
: authenticity of the watch, but the Omega Web
: site claims you can e-mail your serial
: number in and they can tell you if it's
: real.

: I guess my question comes down to if you were
: in the situation I was in, what would you
: do? Has anyone heard of any other websites
: that are reliable?

: Any information that you guys could provide
: would be very much appreciated. Please
: e-mail me at jetstream@novia.net Thanks
: All!!!

I have bought several Omega's through AmericasJewelry. They have been delivered overnight with all boxes, papers, and serial number's intact. I have also bought Omega's and Rolex's from authorized dealers and have never had a watch grey market or otherwise need warranty service. The only things I have had to do to my watches is send them in when needed for service and I have always paid since the warranty had expired. Your milage may vary.
