: Hello,
: I have seen this topic posted before and each
: time the people on the forum have told me
: that this is not true. However, today I was
: window shopping at my local Omega retailer
: (Bailey, Banks, and Biddle), and the sales
: rep told me that Omega is still selling
: their existing supply of Bond SMP's, but
: that they have officially stopped
: manufacturing them. Supposedly Omega has
: tens of thousands of them still in stock, so
: it would be a while before they sold out.
: I was told that the current 2254.50 model with
: the Speedy style bracelet and sword hands
: would be the replacement for the Bond model,
: and that this model would soon be offered in
: the same blue color as the current Bond
: model. Thus, I was told the Bond model would
: be replaced with the newer style Seamaster.
: Has anyone else heard this rumor or did I
: just speak to a misinformed sales rep?
Yes a salesperson at BBB also told me the titanium SMP was discontinued...probably they just quite carrying that model! I didn't believe her as the Omega website still has it listed.
