Jeff,

I know you love the seamonster pro chrono, and I agree it is darn attractive. Have you seen the seamaster pro Bond next to a 150th anniversary or GMT? The Bond looks so much better. I think there are a couple of reasons for this. The skeleton hands are more elegant yet not much less visible, IMHO. Second, the newer two watch models do away with the textured wave pattern in favor of a wave "print" on the dial. This looks cheap to me.

Oh well, it wouldn't be the first watch classic to get trashed by Omega. They have a habit of throwing out good watches every now or then, and of introducing real turkeys. Still, they invested so much into the specific look of the Bond model. It just makes no sense to throw that away and start over.

This very issue keeps me from buying a Bond. Call me silly, but the Bond is gaining the recognition of a Rolxx Sub. If it gets redesigned, it will lose that. Omega should learn from the Speedmaster and keep some classics around.

$0.02 worth, of course

Tom
