I would've prefered that she get the auto midsize (nothing against Quartz, I just prefer the mechanical nature of the auto). But she liked the size of the quartz better. She doesn't like big watches on women.
What's interesting about her watch is that the wave pattern on the dial is somewhat different than on my full size auto. There is more of a sheen to hers - it's really kind of neat, adds a bit of "glamour" to the face. One of these days I'll post a scan of both our watches.
