Re: New constellation model?
In Response To: New constellation model? ()

: Hi, I have seen a new constellation model in

Hi,

I've had one since Christmas, and am loving it.

I think this is one of the first models with a double escapement movement, which is giving me very good accuracy at the moment. I last set it on 2nd Jan and it is currently 4sec fast (on the 13th).

I think this movement will be appearing in more new Omegas as updated models are released. Based on my experience that's a good thing...
The current constellation still lists old and new styles, so both should be available in the channel for some time yet. Only the double eagle chronometer has the double ecapement.

The quality of the finish is very good. The bands on the bracelet are wider than on the other constellations. The bezel is wider, numerals are larger, and the claws at nine and 3 o'clock are more substancial than on the previous men's models. The hour markers on the face are bolder, and very nicely detailed.

The look is a little more chunky, but very clean and modern.

Regards,

Alex
