First my thanks to Keith Downing and Mark Canon for their Dealer referral.
After reading everything I could find on-line and visiting dealers in several states over the last few months (sometimes it’s good to travel a lot for work), I’ve ordered my first Omega. I ordered a Seamaster Pro Full Size Automatic, black face and black bezel, with the 9 link Bond bracelet. I thought I was going to “settle” for the 2254.50 (5 link Speedy bracelet), but Keith's Dealer offered to change the bracelet at no cost. So I get the 2054.50 after all. And at a great price.
The dealer was excellent to deal with. He was the only dealer to take time to review the differences between the quartz and auto movements, making sure I got the one best for me, and really seemed to know his stuff. While looking, I had one salesperson point to the helium escape valve while discussing the crown, and most didn't seem to know anything about what they were selling other than the color. Amazing.
Now I just have to wait. . .
