This is a watch for serious free diver (i.e people who dive without the aid of a tank; i.e just with the air in their lungs)or spear hunting free diver.

When you free dive it is important to keep track of time so that you know whento begin you ascent in order to reach the surface in safety. the red dot system make it really easy to see how much time you have spent under water so far. there is 7 dots because the world record for static free diving is about 7.30 minutes

For people that are interested I wanted to also let you knoiw that the record for the deepest free dive stands at about 550 feet or 160 meters... fairly incredible.

One of the founder of deep free diving diving was Jacques Mayol whose life has been told on a movie called the big blue. He helped designed this watch for the professional free divers.

This watch is only for a very small group of people but saying this who really needs an helim release valve...This did not prevent the SMP to be a very successful watch
