Wrist size is actually the LEAST important part of which size will look better on you. Other people don't see JUST your watch and wrist -- they see all of you. So you need to look at your overall proportions.
Are you tall, short, skinny, rotund? All of these are important in how the watch looks on you. A too tiny a watch for your body proportions looks as bad or worse than a too big one.
I have very skinny wrists and the full size works great on me. But I am 6' tall and of average weight.
The general rule I've come up with is that if you are 5'8" or less *or* somewhat burly/rotund, then the mid size should be best. But if you are 5'10" or taller and not rotund, then the full size should be an okay choice.
