Watches, when they are new have some of the
highest mark up of any product. On the other
hand they have the highest initial drop in value
over other products!
My "JB 300m Seamaster was 2300.00 Canadian"
I know my wife over paid for it. She got it for
my 40th birthday. She did not care about price, she just new she loves me and wanted to make me happy! So I will never part with it, but I do know I would only get about 12 to 1400.00 Can. for it. Depresiation on watches is terrible.
One buys a watch like an Omega because they love it and will wear for many years.
