Strange question:
It is generally regarded as unwise to engage in activities that might give a mechanical watch a sharp impact, such as racquetball or tennis. But what about clapping?
I wear my SMP nearly every day and I frequently attend concert performances at which I do some rather rigorous clapping. I am a professional musician and I find myself in a clapping situation several times per week.
My question is, can clapping harm a watch movement? With my SMP (which I wear most frequently), I can't help but think of that poor rotor whipping around in there as I whack my hands together repeatedly.
Thanks for any thoughts on this.
