Re: Totally fake

Funny, I have just started looking into the marked for an Omega Seamaster when I came across this same auction. I am a Bond fan and I would love to get my hands on one of the official limited edition ones that Omega produced. I saw this and thank god I have a little common sense to have realized right off the bat this was a fake. I'm glad eBay took this off before someone got burned for $500.

: I was watching this item close. The bid had
: gone up to $475. About 10 minutes before the
: auction was to complete, suddenly the
: auction was deleted. Maybe the eBay fraud
: police did catch this one!

: I agree. Having such a complete looking set of
: boxes, papers and things like the OMEGA hang
: tag do imply that the item is the real
: thing.

: I thing most of the bidders under $150 know it
: is a fake. Those bidding higher are probably
: clueless that fakes exist and either think
: that's what a real one can be bought for or
: that they are getting a killer deal.

: Me too. Though with the truth of 'a sucker born
: every minute,' there is only so much we can
: do to protect all of them from their own
: folly.

: Apparently, eBay now allows a seller to hide
: their feedback comments (but not the score
: of good/bad). Off the top of my head, I see
: zero good reason for that. See the link
: below for their policy:
