co-axial?

What are the advantages of the co-axial movement in real life?
I know there is supposed to be less friction, but I doubt someone will notice that ...

Is it more accurate? (where talking chronometers here!)
Are the service intervals longer?
Does the watch / movement have a longer life?

BTW: the De Ville 4841.31.32 seems like a fantastic watch to me, any experience from owners?
