I wear my SMP all the time except for when I shower. Not that I'm being cautious with the watch--it's just better taking a shower with nothing on me.

I also wear the watch when I go swimming in my pool, when I wash my car and when I do my house cleaning chores.

I've had my SMP for about 1 1/2 years now and no problems or mishaps. (knock on wood)
