Quartz works better for MY needs, may not for you>>
In Response To: Faulty logic ()

I rather spend $4 on a battery every 3 years than spend $200-300 on a service on an auto.Multiply that by more than one pricey auto in your stable and it adds up quickly.
It also appears from the numerous posts here that they scratch up the watches when they "service" it at the repair center.UNLESS you want to ship your watch oversees. That's absurd. And embarrassing to the USA.Is "old world" craftsmanship dead here?Dunno.
Faulty logic? Not in my eyes.I call it hindsight....for me at least.
BTW,with that said,I do think the autos are sweet.I just hate having someone charge me big $ to put little defects in my watch case,I can do that myself.:-)
I hope you enjoy your two fine selections and that provide many trouble free years of pleasure to you.
cheers.

: If you buy a quartz just because you are afraid
: that something might go wrong with an
: automatic, how can you justify every buying
: anything? A quartz can die, the battery can
: leak, it's done if water gets in, etc. My AT
: (co-axial) is a champ and I just bought
: another auto (Seamaster ACC).
