I have this old Omega (1939?) rectangular watch.
Belonged to my father. When I got the watch,
the dial was in bad shape. The local jeweler
had the dial sent out. It returned as as if
it were brand new. Cost : 100$.
Next, I sent the complete watch to Illinois Watch
Company. The overhaul, cleaning, mainspring and
a new crystal cost 109$.
Total damage : 209$.
This same watch, in worse shape, is about 800$.
