I found your website about 18 months ago. It is a great source of info & pics....
I know the feeling you are describing. A good friend of mine has recently renovated his house, he wears a Seamaster with a 1040 movement. ALL the time !
His watch has had 3 rebuilds like you described in 5 years.... But he won't sell me the watch, he says "It means too much to me".... & then treats it like Sh*t....
I guess it's his right to do so, I just find it a shame.
