I really need some help. We've been looking for a while for a "lifelong legacy timepiece" for my wife. I recently got the 007 Seamaster and love it. We are heavily influenced by my mom who has had 3 Omegas.
I have a strong desire for automatics although my wife doesn't rank it as I do. She would like a 2-tone, wear-it-everywhere type of watch, not too petite or dressy (no gems on the outside!). She loves the basketweave strap of the Seamaster, especially in 2-tone. Despite the trend toward larger watches, I don't like the "wearing the hubby's watch" look either.
There's no automatic ladies Seamaster. The mid-size is slightly heavy, although a white face and champagne bezzel makes it look quite feminine.
Is there a constellation I should consider? or another style you'd suggest?
