You and I exchanged messages a couple of days ago about Omega watches. Speaking of the Constellation, have you seen the chronograph version? A local Omega dealer here recently started carrying them and I was surprised at how striking the watch appeared.

The case is somewhat larger than the non-chronograph version but the increased size doesn't seem to interfere with the sport-dress theme of the watch.

Another interesting feature of the chronograph is that it uses the Omega quartz calibre 1270 movement. My understanding is that the normal time functions (hour, minute, second, and date) are quartz controlled while the chronograph function is mechanical.

This obviously is in contrast to the Seamaster and Speedmaster chronographs which use entirely mechanical movements.

From the linen-texured dial, engraved roman numerals on the bezel, unique claws at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions, domed and coated sapphire crystal, to the beautifully finished brushed and polished bracelet, the Constellation is a class-act!

I enjoyed your recent watch review on the Seamaster and hope you write about your experiences with your soon to be Constellation. And who knows, maybe I will be inspired to write a review on my upcoming Deville.
