Well....i just pulled the trigger on what has been one of my longest searches! To find the dial i've always loved with the arrowhead markers, dauphine hands, and condition to die for. Put it in an 18K prestine case with beautiful lugs and it's put a grin on my face not soon to disappear!
Did i pay too much........don't know and who cares? I certainly don't as i might have had to wait another 20 years to find another in similiar condition......and what would it run then anyway?
Fact is i sometimes lose more than this at the Casino, though i'm pretty steady in eaking out a living playing professional blackjack.
In any case....the watch was only on ebay about a day, and i had placed an earlier bid in order to watch it. But i felt that it wouldn't be available in another day or so, once the Omega "vultures" got a wiff of it! (so i am one too, hehe).
So the "Buy-it-Now" was stareing......no.....CALLING to me and i hesitated no longer! On another occasion for another watch i hesitated about 15 seconds TOO long and someone else beat me too it! Wasn't going to happen THIS time.
Anyway, i hope i'm not breaking any rules by posting this with the ended ebay auction, but i wanted to share the great photos with everyone and i don't have a way to change some of the photos from an "art" file to a "jpeg", and the listing used both types. As i don't have a picture hosting service set up yet......hope this will do.
......can't wait to get her on my wrist, though i fear i may relegate her to only special occasion wear to preserve her.
