I assume you are asking for comments on the AT and not your retailer. :)
I have a 38mm AT and a full size SMP. Although, like you I enjoy the substantial weight of the SMP and the bracelet, the AT is very comfortable as well. It is obviously more dressy so it looks very good with the Speedy bracelet. The bracelet is marginally harder to close at first but, you get used to it very quickly. If I had to choose I would say the SMP clasp/bracelet is better but only by the slimmest of margins. One person's opinion.
: Today I walked by my local retailer (place
: where I bought my smp) and went in to look
: around just for fun. When I had shopped
: there before it was clear that with my small
: amout of research I knew more about watches
: then they did.
: Today I tried on a few ATs just for fun mostly
: but the guy who has sold me my SMP said
: something I though I would share.
: That the "AT looks just like a Rolex but
: for less money and on the inside is the
: exact same movement" I just said
: "really?" Of course this was the
: wrong thing to say to sell me especially
: after our recent O VS R threads here, but I
: wasn't there to buy today anyway.
: One thing is for sure the AT even the 41mm is
: so much lighter than the SMP it does feel a
: lot like a Rolex. However after wearing the
: smp a lighter watch has a strange feel to it
: I had never tried on the Speedmaster style
: bracelet the AT uses. I like the bracelet
: but I'm not sure about the clasp. The way it
: extends when you open it seems like it just
: makes it harder to close. Any thought from
: those who actually own it?
