Yes I have both. I bought a Rolex Explorer II with white face first. Wore my Explorer II a lot until I was in the mall and saw the SMP. The one in black was calling my name so I eventually bought it.
I bought the Rolex first "just because". Yeah, its the name and I've always wanted one.
I also have a Submariner in blue/18k gold which I purchased used from a relative.
I have to say Omega is probably just as good as any Rolex and its a bit cheaper. I seldom wear my Explorer II now a days as my wrist sports my new SMP. I rarely wear out my Submariner in blue/gold as I find it attracts too much attention. Its more of a dress watch for me.
