Omega reported to me that the full size Seamaster Pro is the bigger seller in the US and Europe. The midsize is the bigger seller in Japan.

As with much fashion, the elements need to fit the person. Not just in size and porportion but also personality. Sometimes an oversized accessory can add a little boldness to your look.
I am 6" tall, but have slender 6.5" wrists -- yet I wear the full size and my wife and friends thing it looks great on me.

Probably no particular collectibility benefit either way, with the exception of the 2531.80 -- the 'Bond' model. That one may a a slightly higher collectibility than the other models.
