I've never submersed mine in water, but if you're saying it's OK I'll give it a try. I am always careful with watches that are rated 30 or 50 meters because I've had bad experiences (with other brands, not Omega).
Speaking of multifunction watches, I owned a Tag Heuer Kirium Formula One at one point last year, but didn't like it and sold it. Never had the Breitling because I don't like the bezel on it. I've heard it's exteremely accurate though.
