Curiously, the situation you described happened to my SM 120 once and this was last week. I've had this watch for 5 years and this was the first time it happened.
I did not use it for the past 3 weeks. Then last week i tried it on and nothing happened even after 30 plus winds of the crown! I shook it a bit and still no movement at all. I pulled the crown to position 3 and then pushed it back in and then it started to move. I have no idea why that happened.
Maybe my watch is due for service but yours is definitely much newer.
