I'd be willing to bet that Timex, with little or no advertising, makes ALOT more money each year than any of the Haute Horologis companies do - in fact, I bet that ALL the HH firms put together do not equal Timex profits.
This is what high-end watchmakers are up against and that pressure forces them to pursue all kinds of ad strategies.
I certainly do not blame Omega for their ad campaigns. In fact, if they didn't have those campaigns, they would sell less watches and have to charge ALOT more for the watches they do sell to keep their bottom line looking good.
