smp or tag auto chronometer *LINK*

I am have been considering purchasing a reasonably priced quality watch for some time and have now narrowed down the choice to two models, the Omega Seamaster Pro black/black 2254.50 and the Tag Heuer Link Automatic Chronometer (see link). I am a one watch person, therefore the eventual winner must serve all purposes ie. from business 9-5 wearing a suit tob casual, jeans, t-shirt etc.
I was just about to decide upon the smp when I came across the Tag and the thought crossed my mind that this watch may be a little more conservative with a less pronounced bezel which may make it more suitable with the suit for 9-5 purposes but at the same time be sporty enough for casual wear. I'm looking for a real all rounder. Can the full size black smp go with a suit and tie?
I believe that the Omega movement may be slightly superior to the Tag and as this watch is to last at least a decade this is also an important consideration.
Any comments or views which may assist in my decision will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Brian
