Fraud??

Well, I do not know the criminal code in the UK but, I would suggest that there is a law regarding fraudulent behavior. This law would be broken if the seller represented the item as genuine and you can prove it is a fake. Perhaps the first place to start is with your lawyer and the police.

I am basing my advice on the implication in your e-mail that you have contacted the seller and cannot work out a refund. In other words, you have already taken the logical first step in contacting the seller and trying to work things out. It may be time to play hardball.
