I never insulted him for his skills in English. I merely factually stated that his first question was incoherent -- so I could not tell how to answer.

I often ask people for more clarity when I get vague or otherwise unanswerable-as-asked questions -- so why is this different?

Apparently he understood as he asked a second time and was slightly more clear -- enough that I was able to answer him.

Problem solved. Thanks for your concern, but it is misplaced.
