Need Advice

I have the Seamaster Chrono Diver watch and I'm having trouble deciding between these two straps (see links). The only difference between these straps is the overall thickness.

The strap on this weblink is 8.0 mm thick.

The strap on this weblink is 5.5 mm thick.

Now, considering the fact that the thickness (or height) of the lugs on my Omega watch is 6.5-7.0 mm, which strap do you think would be more suitable? I'm leaning towards the strap that is 8.0 mm thick, but my only concern is that the top surface of the strap will be higher than the top surface of the lugs (unless the spring bar holes on the strap are somewhat in the middle, which would make the strap appear flush with the lugs). What do you guys think (I actually emailed this company but they couldn't give any advice)?

Also, besides a deployment clasp and a spring bar tool, is there anything else that I need to order (do I need two more spring bars or can I use the ones that are holding my metal bracelet to the watch case)?

Thanks for your help,

John
