Yes. The ones I've seen have a light blue tint.

Why don't you call the salesman at that store and ask him? Makes more sense than asking us to *guess* what you might have seen.
But the watch should have been completely crisp and clear on the crystal and dial -- so it pretty obviously should have been something like a protective coating you were seeing.
