Derek,
While I agree that the dial looks incredibly off, I'm a bit concerned about your remarks about the bracelet.
From the back, my bracelet looks the same (I have a 2531.80), as do the slots for the bracelet pins. I'm now a bit concerned about my own watch (!!), even tho I bought from a reputable dealer new (albeit grey-area), w/ full box & papers and matching serial nos 2 years ago.
This particular watch (to my untrained eye) looks more like a watch cobbled together from different Omega parts, or maybe an Omega case/bracelet with false interior.
Can you elaborate on the bracelet a bit more ? I'm really worried I've got a wrong 'un, as we say here in the UK. I can supply pictures if needed.
Thanks !
: So... other than the several very obvious signs
: that something it wrong, it looks good to
: you? Sorry, but you get a grade of
: "F" in fake detection school
: today.
: Here's the run down on that one: Wave pattern
: missing
: Depth rating written wrong
: "professional" is in all lower case
: instead of upper case letters
: "Seamaster" name in similar, but not
: correct lettering style
: If you look from the back, it is clear the
: links are five pieces, not nine.
: Slots to access the bracelet pins too big
: Any one of these alone would be positive proof
: it is a fake.
