I recently purchased the james bond seamaster 2531.80.00 from a gray market dealer (authenticwatches.com). Everything seems to be fine with the watch, runs perfectly ok so far. It did have a few faint marks on the bezel but I got a discount because of it. Other than that it looks beautiful in mint condition. The watch was sold as 'never worn' but not 'new'. They said the marks were the result of store handling.
Out of curiousity I wrote to Omega and they said the s/n on my watch was manufactured in 9-29-1999. Should I be concerned? What has this watch been doing for the past 4.5 years? Am I just being paranoid? This is my first luxury watch, so thanks for your input!
