Thanks, John, for your advice. Frankly, I don't rely on watch warranties for "peace of mind" but I do understand the reluctance many people feel. I have a great deal of experience with gray market hardware in the area of electronics and high-end audio and I have learned that the key to success is the quality of the gray market dealer. However, Keith has been helpful with the name of an authorized dealer and, if he comes through, that will be the obvious choice.
