Quartz again...

Hi,

I like you love the sweeping movement of an automatic. The mechanism is amazing, really impressive how you can make something like this work. In spite of this I prefer the quartz. It looks exactly the same and has the same parts besides the movement. As a pilot on long routes I don't get to move around a lot, my quartz works perfectly whatever I do. I know that my watch allways show the correct time. I have a lot of electronic equipment around me in the Airbus, but I still tend to look at my watch a lot. The watch should be as reliable as possible, lets not forget that this is it's most important task.

The black SMP fits the cockpit environment perfectly. I just need a quick glance at it to see exactly what time it is. I set the time once a month, this is MORE than enough.

As I said I like the mechanical movements, but if you really want a watch that is exact with minimum of problems, then you should go for the quartz. I have considered to buy an auto to wear on special occations, but it would never replace the one I have today...

Anders,
Scandinavian Airlines
