Because the difference between their price and the price of an authorized retailer offering more than 30% off is not worth losing the Omega factory warranty. In some cases I have found watches to be cheaper from certain authorized delaers than from so-called "great deals" I have seen on the net.

Yes, you can ask them, but you are still getting a GRAY MARKET watch that is not backed by Omega's factory warranty. Given the small price difference between buying gray market and buying from a cheap authorized dealer, I just don't see any point in taking any risks with gray market watches.
