Re: bezel tap noise on Seamaster
In Response To: bezel tap noise on Seamaster ()

: full size SM chronometer(James Bond model
: When I touch/tap on
: the bezel it make a taping metal noise
: against the metal of the base.

My 3-year old SMP Bond makes a slight tapping sound if I should tap directly on the bezel and listen carefully. To be honest I never noticed this until I read your post and tried it. :)

As I said my watch is 3 years old, and recently I noticed the bezel fit seems SLIGHTLY (and I mean VERY slightly) loose. I suspect this is due to age and use, although I do not turn my bezel very often.

Mine does not make a tapping sound in normal wear so it doesn't bother me, and perhaps you are experiencing a more significant "looseness" of your bezel. In any case, I would imagine this would be an easy fix for any qualified watchmaker.
