Re: Multifunction Movement Replacement

: quite sure if it's possible...I'm having
: problems with my 120 Multifunction Watch
: that I am very fond of, and was wondering if
: it was possible to replace the multifunction
: movement with a normal quartz movement found
: in the other 120's?

The digital display which is part of the movement is also a large part of the display. So you'd need a new dial, too. And a replacement OMEGA movement and dial won't be cheap and there is no guarantee there are even appropriate movement and dial parts to fit the case of the SM 120 Multifunction.

Better to have the problems with the current movement addressed. Trying to mangle up the watch with other parts is an expensive way to totally trash the value of what you have. That would just be throwing away several hundred dollars converting a defective luxury watch into a functional piece of junk -- what a waste all around.

Try getting an estimate on the cost to solve whatever problems you are having with the current watch. And as a fallback position if that repair is too expensive, buy a used Seamaster 120 Quartz as a replacement.
