Go ahead and buy it. I've been lucky enough to have owned an Omega since the age of 17 (I'm now 40). It is a Moonwatch that I got from good old Mom and Dad. It was with me while in the US Navy, where I even wore it on cold weather exercises in Norway! It was on my wrist the day I graduated from college. Memories, too many to put down on paper.
As long as you take care of it, you'll have it for a lifetime and have many stories to tell (while you wore your Omega!).
Just remember to get is service in Bienne!
