Thanks Derek, interesting stuff as usual. There was an SMP Mk1 on eBay recently that I decided not to buy (Item number: 4903399530), looking at it again I reckon this is a mid-size.
I suppose I've just got used to big watches, with my old Seiko Diver and my Omega Speedmaster MkIII with the Flightmaster case.
